How much are the tickets?

Where can I get tickets?

On-line at eventbrite.com (starting May 1, 2012)
Air Show Gate (Sept 29-30)

What are the age limits in purchasing children's and adult tickets?

Children 4 and under are free, accompanied by an adult;
Children 5 to 11 years of age are $6;
Children 12 and over are considered an adult ticket purchase are $15.

Where is the show?

The show is being held at Butts Army Air Field, Fort Carson, South of Colorado Springs. CLICK HERE for map & driving directions.

What time does the show start?

Gates open at 9am each day. Flying will begin at approximately 12:00 noon and end between 3-4pm. (Flying Times and Performers are Subject to Change) Gates close at 4pm.

What happens if it rains?

There are no refunds and no rain dates. Every effort will be made to continue the show in spite of inclement weather. The show will be modified as required for safety.

Will there be ADA facilities?

There are areas designed for folks with mobility issues for parking, as well as viewing the show.

Is there a lost and found area?

Yes, there is a central lost and found at The Information Booth and the area is clearly marked for your convenience.

Is first aid available?

Yes, there is a first aid station staffed by trained personnel and will be located in the center of the tarmac.

Will I be able to meet any of the performers?

Yes, there is an autograph tent where performers will be scheduled to meet after their performance.

Is seating available at the show?

No chairs are provided in the general admission area.

May I bring chairs?

Please feel free to bring chairs or blankets to sit on.

Are tents or awnings, pop-ups or shade canopies allowed?

No. Only hand-held umbrellas are allowed; however, if they're used in seating, they cannot block the view of other patrons.

May I bring coolers with food and/or drinks?

Coolers, ice chests, and outside food and drinks are not permitted. Glass containers are not allowed and will be confiscated.

What other restrictions are there?

No backpacks, pets, skateboards, scooters or bicycles are permitted.

May I camp out?

No, the Air Show's host hotel is the Raddison Inn Airport. Other convenient lodging close to Ft. Carson is available.

May I camp out in my RV?

No, there are no RV facilities on premises, however, there are many RV Parks in Colorado Springs.

Will there be food available?

Yes, there will be many concessions serving various types of food, snacks and beverages for sale throughout each day of the show.

Will pets be allowed to enter the Air Show?

No, other than service animals.

How do I find my way around the show?

Our volunteers, who can be easily identified by their shirts, will guide you around the show site. Signs will also assist you as well as a map printed in the program.

What is there to do?

In addition to the aerial performers, there are many ground attractions! The In their Honor Air Show receive static display aircraft from military bases all over the area! The Touch-A-Truck area offers a "hands-on" experience with many different vehicles you see everyday.

May I smoke?

Smoking is not permitted.

May I still volunteer to help out at the show?

Possibly, but participation is limited. Click here for information.

Where do I park?

Will bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, skates, or kick or electric scooters be allowed on the flight line?

No, bikes may be secured outside the flight line gates.

Are there any restrictions on bringing weapons to this event?

Yes. Weapons including pocket knives, multi-tools, replica/toy weapons or pepper spray are not allowed and will be confiscated.

What is the performance schedule?

Performances will begin daily around noon Because of many last-minute changes in performers and schedules, exact times are not available. There will be continuous aerial excitement from the start of the show until the
show closes, as well as static displays, vendor booths and the Air Show exhibits.

Is there shade?

The Air Show facility is under an open sky. Patrons are encouraged to plan accordingly. Some shade can be found under the wings of static display aircraft.

Are cameras allowed?

Yes, cameras are allowed (still, video, and digital). Your camera bags will be checked upon entry.

How do I get Press or Media Credentials?

In order to gain access and press credentials, you must be a member of a valid news organization. This means a bona fide media outlet must employ you or you must be specifically commissioned in writing with a letter of
assignment by such a firm to cover the Open House. Examples of media outlets include newspapers, magazines, journals, TV and radio stations, documentary production companies, officially recognized Internet portals, etc. Please e-mail all information to randy.tisor@us.army.mil.
The deadline for media credential applications for the 2012 In Their Honor Air Show will be September 15, 2012.

For your safety, all individuals are subject to search. Please come early, pay careful attention to all signs and announcements, and be patient. These procedures are in place to ensure the safety of those attending the Air Show.
